- 4 medium russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 0.5 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Peel and cut potatoes into uniform thin fries. Soak in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry thoroughly with a clean towel.
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, toss the dried potato slices with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
Place fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook in batches if necessary. Fry for 18 to 20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even crisping.
Meanwhile, heat a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and a teaspoon of olive oil. Sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
Once fries are golden brown and crisp, transfer to a mixing bowl. Toss immediately with the warm garlic oil, grated Parmesan, and chopped parsley.
Serve hot, topped with extra cheese or parsley if desired.
