- 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small yellow onion diced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 jalapeños thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 3 cups seafood stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- Juice of 1 lime
In a large soup pot, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
Add the diced onion and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes until translucent.
