Ingredients

  • 12 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, crumble it with a spoon, and cook for 6 to 8 minutes until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and Italian seasoning. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the tomato paste and stir to coat the beef evenly. Cook for 2 minutes to develop flavor.
  • Pour in the beef broth and let it simmer for about 3 to 4 minutes, allowing the liquid to reduce slightly.
  • Reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Let the mixture gently simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  • Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and combined with the sauce.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss gently until the pasta is evenly coated with sauce.
  • Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately.
